Jennifer Searfoss, Esq. is passionate about healing the American health care system. Today, she practices law in her solo firm and provides services to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries to appeal denial of medical services.

During the pandemic, Ms. Searfoss served as the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer for U.S. Foot and Ankle Specialists. She led and managed the legal and compliance functions for the MidAtlantic podiatry mega group. As the Founder and CEO of the Searfoss Consulting Group (SCG Health), she focused on improving providers quality measurements until the pandemic closed all quality reporting requirements for medical providers across the country. Prior to taking on the role as entrepreneur, Jennifer was the Vice President of External Provider Relations for UnitedHealthcare where she reviewed and approved education programs for commercial and Medicare physicians.

Her background in policy development and evaluation began serving in the Washington, D.C. office of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) as the Government Affairs Representative for the Eastern & Southern Sections. Her success in advocacy led to Ms. Searfoss taking on the health care payers as the External Relations Liaison. Prior to her work at MGMA, Jennifer also worked in the Washington office of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Ms. Searfoss has the pleasure of teaching undergraduate health policy courses at Ferris State University and previously at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She also taught graduate courses in health care law and policy at Georgetown University and George Washington University. She received her undergraduate degree in health science and policy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and law degree from the University of Maryland. She is a member in good standing of the Maryland bar since 2005 and recently joined the Michigan bar in 2023.
