A former champion synchronized swimmer, Ali Vincent set foot on the Biggest Loser ranch with her mother Bette-Sue and weighed in at 234 pounds. After weeks of hard work and dedication to health and fitness on the ranch and at home, Ali stepped on the scale at the finale weighing in at 122 pounds – 112 pounds less than her starting weight. This successful weight loss was enough to earn her the title of Season 5 winner and to become the show’s first-ever female winner. Since winning The Biggest Loser title in April 2008 she has kept the weight off and is healthier than ever. In Ali’s first book BELIEVE IT, BE IT: HOW THE BIGGEST LOSER WON ME BACK MY LIFE, Vincent shares her inspirational story and offer tips for other struggling to lose weight and make major life changes.
In the past several years, Vincent has parlayed her personal transformation into a career with speaking engagements, endorsement opportunities and guest contributor to publications. She has contributed weekly blogs to OK! Magazine and has been featured in their publication, as well as in People Magazine, US Weekly, Life & Style and In Touch. She’s also been featured on the cover of Prevention and had her own Got Milk ad in addition to her numerous television appearances on Today and on QVC as a celebrity host. Additionally, she’s been a guest on Oprah, Ellen, The Doctors, Access Hollywood and many other national and local talk shows.
Vincent is also the spokesperson for NEXT Designer Whey protein and is featured in THQ’s The Biggest Loser video game for Nintendo Wii and DS. Most recently, Vincent partnered with Famous Footwear for their Mind Body Sole tour.
When not touring the country for speaking opportunities, Vincent regularly participates in and speaks at fundraising events including the Nautica Malibu Triathlon benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Nautica South Beach Triathlon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also works with the Arizona Cardinals youth programs and speaks about the importance of heart health and fitness at Go Red events sponsored by the American Heart Association. In addition she is Ambassador of Movement for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
