The Passing Zone is a renowned comedy act featuring Owen Morse and Jon Wee, who met at a juggling convention in 1986. Opting to graduate college first, they then began their professional journey, quickly winning the Silver and Gold Medals at the International Jugglers’ Association Teams Competition. This success led to their debut on “The Tonight Show” in 1990, followed by another appearance due to Johnny Carson’s enthusiasm. Their film debut was in The Addams Family Movie, doubling for Raul Julia and Christopher Lloyd.
Showcasing innovation, leadership development, and teamwork through their juggling acts, they gained further acclaim performing at the Royal Variety Performance in London for Prince Charles, and on the Miss America Pageant. They were finalists on “America’s Got Talent” in Seasons 1 and 11, showcasing their comedic and juggling prowess. Their television appearances include “Comic Strip Live,” “CNN’s Road Warriors,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “MADtv,” “Penn & Teller’s Sin City Spectacular,” “Steve Harvey’s Big Time,” and regular slots on NBC’s “Today.” They also provided commentary for ESPN’s World Juggling Federation competitions.
The Passing Zone performed at The White House and hold five Guinness World Records and 18 Gold Medals from the International Juggler’s Association. They received the IJA’s Award of Excellence and were inducted into the National Speaker’s Association’s Speaker Hall of Fame. They perform at corporate events, known for their clean, versatile act that appeals to diverse audiences. They customize performances to include company products and slogans, inspiring teamwork and creativity.
The duo also performs at theaters and arts centers nationwide with their show “The Passing Zone Saves the World!” Residing in the greater Los Angeles area, Jon and Owen enjoy spending time with their families and engaging in activities like hang gliding, surfing, mountain biking, and motorcycling.
